Our Story: From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leader
Elburgon Progressive Dairy Farmers Cooperative Society Ltd was registered on 20th January, 2015 under registration No. CS/17679. The cooperative started as Elburgon Self-Help Group in 2009. Today, it's owned by small-scale dairy farmers within Molo, Njoro, Rongai and parts of Kuresoi North Sub-Counties.
Starting with 700 liters per day from 120 farmers, the cooperative now collects an average of 18,000 liters daily from over 2,400 farmers. With support from MESPT and NARIGP (NAVCDP), we've grown to operate three branches (Elburgon, Muchorwe, Chandera) with 5,000L cooling tanks each, a 10,000L tanker, a 16,000L tanker, and a modern animal feeds center with grinder and mixer.
By the end of 2025, we target 25,000 liters daily from 3,000 farmers.
